Totton South

The u3a (formerly University of the Third Age) was set up in 1973 and reached the UK in 1982.

There are over 1,000 local u3as in the UK, across twelve regions, each enabling their members to come together, to share their skills and to learn for fun.

Totton South is part of SW Hampshire network and part of South East region.

Totton South u3a was formed in 2008 and has about 250 members living in Totton and surrounding areas. Charity Number: 1157901.
We have over twenty-five different Groups that meet to pursue common interests.

Our Monthly Meeting is usually held on every THIRD FRIDAY at Colbury Memorial Hall, 133 Main Road, Totton, SO40 7EL. Starting at 2pm, the doors open 1.30pm. Attendance is usually around 100 members.

Membership cost is £17pa but non-members may attend two Monthly Meetings at no charge, to find out more about us.

The Third Age Trust (TAT) supports local u3as across the UK who, between them, have around 400,000 members.

TAT offers Online Learning Events, projects, initiatives and competitions which are free to all u3a members - many of them on Zoom, so you are able to take part from the comfort of your own home.

TAT also runs Interest Groups Online (IGO) - a digital branch of u3a - Membership of IGO costs £12 per year.
