Brickworks Museum
A very interesting trip for 6 members
We started in the café and had a very nice lunch, good food and very reasonable prices.
We then wandered around the museum which from bricks, chimney pots and tiles, was very informative. The workers certainly had a very hard working life.
The size of the kilns were very impressive. We all agreed a worthwhile visit.

Well done Judy.
Thursday 19th September 2024 - Bletchley Park
A group of 28 went by coach and had a lovely day. The sun shone, which was very welcome. So much to see and take in: the amazing systems for decoding Enigma are mind blowing. What clever people? We owe so much to those individuals. A very rewarding and interesting day.

Thursday 16th May 2024 - Kennett Horse Boat Trip
Nineteen members had a great trip on the horse drawn barge. What a lovely day - the barge was great, the crew made us very welcome, the lunch was lovely and delicious cake too.
Monty our horse was a star - he enjoyed snacking on Cow Parsley as he gently pulled us along the canal. We found the working of the lock very interesting and so relaxing, taking in the atmosphere.
Our coach driver Howard was great - I think he enjoyed the trip as much as we all did. Overall, it was a very peaceful ride - we could have quite happily spent another hour on board. As we made our way back to the mooring, we had time to reflect on the day. I'm sure we will go again in the future.
Monday 22nd April 2024 - Tattoo Studio
Four members were able to visit a local Tattoo Studio arranged by Judy. We were welcomed by two members of staff, one of whom was going to receive a tattoo, the other person doing the tattoo. Preparatory meetings had taken place previously during which the necessary paperwork had been completed including checking medication, general health, age, and agreeing the design. The tattoo selected had been designed by the tattoo artist. While the tattoo was being carried out, we were given information about a wide range of interesting areas including the history and cultural aspects of tattoos, the training required, how the inks used have evolved, how the industry is regulated. Overall this was an interesting and informative visit.
